NEW YORK -- The Miami Heat's Chris Bosh and the Oklahoma City Thunder's Kevin Durant today were named NBA Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played Monday, Dec. 23, through Sunday, Dec. 29.

Bosh helped Miami to a 3-1 week, which included wins over the Atlanta Hawks, Los Angeles Lakers and Portland Trail Blazers. He averaged 22.3 points, 8.0 rebounds (tied for 10th in the conference), 1.75 blocks and 1.25 steals. Bosh posted two point-rebound double-doubles, including a 37-point, 10-rebound effort on Dec. 28, during a 108-107 win over Portland -- a game in which he connected on the game winning three-point field goal with 0.5 seconds remaining.

Durant led the Thunder to a 3-0 week behind a league-best 32.0 points on .574 shooting from the field, 10.7 rebounds (10th in the conference) and 5.7 assists. Durant posted back-to-back point-rebound double-doubles in wins over the Charlotte Bobcats and Houston Rockets. He connected on 9-of-16 (.529) three-point field goals on the week, and is shooting a career-best .426 from distance on the season.

Dec. 25 @ L.A. Lakers: Recorded 23 points and 11 rebounds during a 101-95 win over the Lakers.
Dec. 27 @ Sacramento: Collected 18 points, seven rebounds and three blocks during a 108-103 overtime loss to the Kings.
Dec. 28 @ Portland: Tallied 37 points, 10 rebounds and two steals in a 108-107 win over the Trail Blazers.

Kevin Durant, Oklahoma City Thunder

Dec. 25 @ New York: Tallied 29 points, seven rebounds and six assists in a 123-94 win against the Knicks.
Dec. 27 @ Charlotte: Posted 34 points, 12 rebounds and added six assists in an 89-85 win over the Bobcats.
Dec. 29 vs. Houston: Scored 33 points and added 13 rebounds and five assists in a 117-86 win over the Rockets.

NEW YORK -- The Miami Heat's Dwyane Wade and the Los Angeles Clippers' Blake Griffin today were named NBA Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played Monday, Dec. 16, through Sunday, Dec. 22.

Wade averaged 26.3 points (fourth in the Eastern Conference) while leading the Heat to a 3-0 week. He scored at least 20 points, shot at least .560 from the floor, and led Miami in scoring in all three games. On Dec. 18, Wade tallied a season-high 32 points on 15-of-25 shooting and added three rebounds as the Heat topped the Indiana Pacers 97-94.

Griffin helped the Clippers to a 4-0 week behind averages of 26.0 points (third in the Western Conference), 11.3 rebounds (ninth in the conference) and 3.3 assists. He recorded three point-rebound double-doubles in the week. On Dec. 22, Griffin scored 32 points and added 10 rebounds and four steals as the Clippers beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 120-116 in overtime.

Dwyane Wade, Miami Heat

Dec. 16 vs. Utah: Recorded 27 points, five rebounds, two assists and one block in a 117-94 victory over the Jazz.
Dec. 18 vs. Indiana: Posted a season high 32 points, three rebounds and three steals in a 97-94 win over the Pacers.
Dec. 20 vs. Sacramento: Scored 20 points and added five assists, five rebounds and three steals as the Heat beat the Kings 122-103.

Blake Griffin, Los Angeles Clippers

The Cleveland Cavaliers' Kyrie Irving and the Portland Trail Blazers' LaMarcus Aldridge on Monday were named NBA Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played Monday, Dec. 9, through Sunday, Dec. 15.

Irving helped the Cavaliers to a 2-1 week with averages of 29.0 points (fourth in the league), 6.3 assists (tied for fifth in the conference) and 2.33 steals (tied for third in the conference). Irving, who connected on 9-of-22 (.409) three-point field goals on the week, made 4-of-7 from distance en route to 37 points on Dec. 10 -- a game in which he added 11 assists -- as Cleveland topped the New York Knicks 109-94.

Aldridge, who captured his third Player of the Week award this season and second consecutive, led the Trail Blazers to a 4-0 week behind averages of 25.5 points (eighth in the league), a league-best 14.8 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.5 blocks. He led Portland in scoring in each game and posted three point-rebound double-doubles, including a 31-point, 25-rebound effort on Dec. 12, during a 111-104 win over the Houston Rockets. At 21-4 (.840), Portland sits atop the Western Conference standings.

The Boston Celtics' Jordan Crawford and the Portland Trail Blazers' LaMarcus Aldridge on Monday were named NBA Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played Monday, Dec. 2, through Sunday, Dec. 8.

Crawford led the Celtics to the East's lone perfect mark on the week at 3-0, behind averages of 23.3 points (fourth in the conference) on .610 shooting from the field (sixth in the conference), 6.7 assists and 3.0 rebounds. Crawford connected on 12-of-23 three-point field goals on the week, including a career-high six makes from distance on Dec. 8, during a 114-73 win over the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.

Aldridge led the Trail Blazers to a 3-1 week, including wins over the Indiana Pacers and Oklahoma City Thunder. He posted a point-rebound double-double in each of Portland's four games, and averaged 26.3 points (third in the conference), 12.8 rebounds (fifth in the conference), 4.5 assists and 1.5 steals. On Dec. 4, Aldridge collected 38 points, 13 rebounds and five assists during a 111-104 win over the Thunder.

Dec. 8 @ New York: Connected on six three-point field goals en route to 23 points, and added seven assists and three rebounds in a 114-73 win over the Knicks.

NEW YORK -- The Miami Heat's LeBron James and the Oklahoma City Thunder's Kevin Durant today were named NBA Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played Monday, Nov. 25, through Sunday, Dec. 1.


James helped the Heat to a 4-0 week on the strength of a league-best 29.0 ppg, as he shot over 60 percent from the field and 46.7 percent from distance. He scored at least 25 points in all four contests, tying his longest streak of consecutive 25-point games this season. James also contributed averages of 6.0 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.5 steals.

Durant guided the Thunder to three victories in as many games. He ranked second in the conference in scoring (27.0 ppg), fifth in rebounding (12.0 rpg) and 11th in assists (7.0 apg). Durant's week included two double-doubles and a 32-point, 12-assist, 10-rebound triple-double in the Thunder's 113-103 win over Minnesota Sunday.

Dec. 1 vs. Charlotte: Contributed 26 points and five boards in a 99-98 win over the Bobcats.

Nov. 27 vs. San Antonio: Posted a 24-point, 13-rebound, four-assist effort in a 94-88 victory over the Spurs.
Nov. 29 vs. Golden State: Recorded 25 points, 13 rebounds, five assists and two blocks in a 113-112 overtime victory against the Warriors.
Dec. 2 vs. Minnesota: In addition to recording a triple-double of 32 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds, contributed four blocks and four steals in a 113-103 victory over the Timberwolves.
